Private 1:1 Coaching · Brought to you from NYC
Room One is a private, 8-week 1:1 coaching program for international students in the US (and prospective international students). Not a bootcamp. Not group Zoom calls. A done-for-you program that gives you access to a curated network, executes outreach on your behalf, and puts you in rooms that would otherwise take years to reach.
The outcome after 8 weeks: a concrete network and opportunities on the table.

Vivek personally introduces you to 3 vetted professionals, founders, or decision-makers aligned with your goals. Not "we'll try." Guaranteed.
02
Vivek writes your first 10 LinkedIn and email outreach messages. You send them. Response rates are dramatically higher when the message is right.

A confirmed article placement in a top publication by the end of the program. A credibility asset you keep forever.
For a family investing $60,000+ per year in tuition, this is less than one month of tuition — and it produces real relationships, press, and opportunities that last far beyond the program.
For international professionals, by an international professional.

I came to the United States on a student visa with a Master's program at Northeastern and no roadmap. What I had was a decision: spend the next two years in a classroom, or spend them in rooms.
I chose rooms.
Within weeks of arriving in Boston, I was at every networking event I could find. Not to collect business cards, but to learn how Americans actually talk to each other. The rhythm of it. The humor. The warmth that looks like casualness but isn't. I was studying something no class was teaching.
Then I stopped attending other people's events and started hosting my own. I organized Boston's first-ever Techstars Startup Weekend — 30 mentors, 200 students, over 20 teams pitching. The entire Boston startup community showed up. And they knew my name.
8 months after landing in America, I was named one of Boston's Influential 25 Under 25. The first international student. The first immigrant. In under a year. Something that had never been done before.
I've since spoken on podcasts alongside Paul English, co-founder of Kayak, and others who shape Boston's business and technology communities. I've been featured in MSN and Yahoo. I've built a network that spans technology, government, and business — in Boston first, and now in New York.
I didn't do any of this because I was exceptional at arriving. I did it because I figured something out. Something most international students are never taught, and that most Americans take for granted.
Room One is how I help other immigrants do it.
Room One · FAQ
What is Room One?
Room One is a private, 8-week 1:1 coaching program for international students in the US (and prospective international students). Not a bootcamp, not a job board, not group Zoom calls. A done-for-you program that gives you access to a curated professional network, executes outreach on your behalf, and positions you for opportunities that would otherwise take years to reach.
Who is this for?
International students currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a US university — ambitious, high-potential, frustrated by the gap between their resume and their opportunities. Located in or willing to engage with the New York professional ecosystem.
What outcome can I expect?
Five concrete professional opportunities on the table by the end of week 8, and a lasting network of high-caliber people in your field. Tangible deliverables include 3 guaranteed warm introductions, a confirmed press article in a top publication, a published book in your name (with a strategy to leverage it for interviews), goal setting, a fully rewritten LinkedIn and resume, 4 ghostwritten LinkedIn posts, done-for-you outreach, warm contact mapping, target list building, and project advising.
How does the 4-week fast track differ?
All the same deliverables, compressed into 4 weeks. It requires more intensity from the client — you're doing more per week — but the outcome is the same. Priced at $7,500. Best for students with a specific deadline (OPT, recruitment cycle, relocation).
What does "guaranteed" actually mean?
Vivek personally makes 3 introductions from his network, and secures one article placement in a top publication. These are not best-effort promises. They are built into the program and Vivek's reputation depends on them.
Do I need to be in New York?
The coaching itself is remote — weekly calls and WhatsApp support. For clients in NYC, there are in-person events and networking opportunities Vivek can bring you into directly. If you're not in NYC, those elements are handled virtually or through Vivek's extended network.
How is pricing structured?
$5,000 for the 8-week program, $7,500 for the 4-week fast track. Payment can be made in full or split 50/50 (50% upfront, 50% at week 4). After the program, clients may continue month-to-month at $1,500/month.
How do I apply?
Email vivek@roomone.nyc with a short note about where you are and what you're trying to accomplish. You'll hear back within 24–48 hours. Room One is limited to 5 clients at a time.
